Why we built Usantis
Most EU representative services are run by EU law firms that don’t speak the US startup language. Most US compliance tools have no EU substance. We built Usantis to be both: a serious EU representative function with US-style self-service.
The founder, Manuel Horn, spent the last decade building digital products and learning EU privacy law the hard way — by getting things audited. When he needed an EU representative for one of his own US companies, nothing combined real legal substance with modern tooling. So he built it.

How we run the platform
- Hosted with Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany (an ISO 27001-certified provider)
- All personal data is field-level encrypted
- Append-only audit log with a cryptographic hash chain
- Daily encrypted backups with regular restore tests
- EU-based tooling: Plausible analytics, Sentry EU region, an EU helpdesk
ISO 27001 above refers to our hosting provider. Usantis’ own certification is on the roadmap below.
